HELEN
Because different bodies require different nutrients
our why
Finding the time, resources, and support to build a healthy diet & lifestyle regimen is tough, especially if you or a loved one have specific health needs. As this is often the case for us, most Americans leave their diets unsupervised, causing symptoms to worsen over time. We want to make it effortless for you to choose healthy living by helping you build and automate your diet & lifestyle regime based on your body’s unique needs.
the questions
“How can I help my body fight this cancer?”
“How can we help feed those who need food as medicine?”
“How can I show my family the importance of health?”
“When will we learn to manage what goes into our bodies?
“Why don’t we take better care of ourselves?”
“Why do we always wait until it’s too late?”
“What do I feed my child who is diagnosed with diabetes?”
“How can we build healthier habits?”
The story
“When my Mom was diagnosed with osteoporosis last year, the doctors asked us to incorporate more calcium into her diet. It was clear to us then that she needed to make some major lifestyle and diet changes, so for the first few weeks, we all on top of her diet and supplements.
After a while, life got in the way and we started sending her recipe ideas instead. But given her jam-packed schedule, it was a huge commitment to keep up with the routine, and she reverted to old habits.
Finally, I started delivering weekly groceries/supplements with recipes taped to the bag. She had to take the vitamins and eat the food or else they’d go to waste. I then realized that if I did it for Mom, I should probably do it for Dad. And for my siblings. And for myself. So I did.
I realize that my Mom is not the only one lacking the time and resources to focus on building a healthy diet and lifestyle regimen. So many people are choosing to ignore their health issues simply because they can’t make the time every day to consistently research and build health & diet plans for themselves and their loved ones.
So yeah. Helen is my Mom, my inspiration and first test subject :)”
